About
Able and effective advocate Neil specialises in children law. Approachable and reassuring with vulnerable and disadvantaged clients, Neil is also recognised for his superb advocacy and intelligent approach to cases. His main areas of practice are care proceedings, adoption, abduction, and private law disputes within families. He represents children, Guardians and parents, and is regularly instructed by CACFASS and NYAS.
Experience
He has extensive experience of cases involving death, non-accidental injury, factitious/fabricated illness, neglect, and the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children. Neil has particular skill and experience in dealing with cases involving drug and alcohol issues, mental health-related difficulties and personality disorders. His experience also covers cases with an international element and those involving the abduction of children (in respect of both convention and non-convention countries).
Neil is well known for his in-depth knowledge and understanding of HIV-related matters, including of those issues that arise in paediatric medicine.
