London Legal Walk 2024 On Pace to Raise £1,000,000 for Free Legal Assistance

The legal community came together in force for the London Legal Walk 2024 in June, with teams from various organisations participating and making a significant impact.

One notable team, comprised of representatives from Coram Chambers and some furry companions – dogs Jet and Truffle, who completed the 10k Park walk and raised over £1,000 for the London Legal Support Trust.

Rachel Cooper, Matthew Shaw, Sophie Kay, Rosina Aman, Shárin Diegan, Daniel Taylor, Sean Gentleman, George Mo, Ruben Collings, Freya Clarke and Joseph (JJ) Jacobson (and dogs Truffle and Jet) completed the 10k Park walk in the sunshine raising over £1k for the London Legal Support Trust who help with the issue of insufficient funding for those who need to access legal advice.

The funds raised during the walk will support the London Legal Support Trust in addressing the issue of insufficient funding for individuals in need of access to legal advice.

The Trust thanked the 18,000 walkers who participated in this year’s event, making it the biggest walk in the organisation’s 20-year history. The collective effort has already raised over £900,000, and there is optimism that the target of £1 million will be achieved with ongoing donations.

The organisers highlighted the event’s importance in raising vital funds for a great cause and expressed delight at being part of such a well-organised and impactful initiative. Coram Chambers would like to thank sponsors whose generosity contributed to the walk’s success.
