We are delighted to announce that Louise Desrosiers has joined Coram Chambers as a Door Tenant. Louise brings with her almost 20 years of experience as a seasoned practitioner.

She was called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2006 (non-practising) and later to the Bar in the Cayman Islands in 2020 (practising). At the Cayman Islands, she serves as the Head of Family Law for Travers Thorp Alberga, a leading offshore firm with a global presence.

Louise specialises in various aspects of family law related to relationship breakdowns, covering matrimonial and financial remedy proceedings and applications for child arrangement orders, including international relocation and Schedule 1 applications.

She has a particular focus on complex and high net worth financial remedy cases, including nuptial agreements, multi-jurisdictional asset tracing, trusts and foundation companies, appellate work, and cases with international elements.

Additionally, Louise has a keen interest in family cases involving autistic children and/or parents, or those with additional needs and has extensive experience in cases involving the cross-examination of multiple experts.

In addition to her legal practice, Louise is an elected board member of the Cayman Islands Family Law Bar Association, an overseas member of the Family Law Bar Association (England and Wales), and a Society of Mediation Accredited Mediator (Society of Mediation UK).

She also serves as an elected committee member for the Cayman Islands Family Law Bar Association and acts as a supervisor attorney for the Cayman Islands Legal Assistance Clinic. Junior attorneys have regularly been placed with Louise for pupillage (England) and/or their articled seats (Cayman Islands).
