This week, Coram Chambers proudly sponsored the prestigious Student Law Society Awards held by Law Careers.Net (LCN), a notable event that took place on Thursday, 13 March 2025. The awards, now in their eleventh year, are a shining beacon of recognition for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by student law societies across the UK.

In attendance to lend their support were Coram Chambers barristers Victoria Haberfield, Hannah Gomersall, and Anarkali Musgrave, who all expressed their delight in engaging with the students during the celebratory evening. Anarkali remarked, “We all enjoyed speaking to the students, who were wonderful,” highlighting the positive atmosphere of camaraderie and encouragement that permeated the event.

The awards provided an excellent opportunity to interact with law society presidents and members, celebrate their remarkable achievements, and further strengthen the ties between the societies, LawCareers.Net, and their firm sponsors.

Olivia Partridge from LCN expressed her gratitude, stating, “I’d like to thank you again for your sponsorship of ‘Best society for aspiring barristers’ at the LawCareers.Net Student Law Society Awards. Your involvement was very important in what was a successful evening offering a huge amount of student engagement and exposure.”

The purpose of these awards is to celebrate the tireless efforts of student law societies, recognising their contributions across thirteen distinctive categories that range from ‘Best society for first-year students’ to ‘Best society for commercial awareness.’ The nominees, chosen from a combination of committee submissions and over 2,100 member votes, were commended for their ability to engage, inspire, and provide valuable opportunities for their members.

Dimitar Dimitrov at LawCareers.Net, shared his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Student Law Society Awards is one of our favourite events at LawCareers.Net. It provides us with invaluable insights into the operations of student law societies and highlights the tremendous effort and dedication of their committees.”
