Achieving the FMCA accreditation is no small feat; it took Jackie two years of rigorous training and practice to reach this milestone. The FMCA designation is the fully qualified status for family mediators in England and Wales, requiring candidates to complete an approved training course followed by a supervised practice period. This culminates in the submission of a portfolio that is thoroughly assessed to ensure compliance with the FMC’s high professional standards.
The FMCA scheme was developed in 2014, with the Family Mediation Council establishing a new framework for professional standards and regulation, along with a publicly accessible register of accredited family mediators. This framework has evolved over the years, introducing various updates to ensure continuous improvement in mediation practices.
Jackie expressed her enthusiasm about this recent accomplishment, stating, “I look forward to utilising my skills as a fully accredited family mediator, along with my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, to achieve sustainable outcomes in high-conflict matters. Mediation is such a vital tool for families navigating difficult times, and I am excited to contribute to this process in a meaningful way.”
As an esteemed member of Coram Chambers, Jackie is well-equipped to provide effective mediation services that prioritise the welfare of families. Her commitment to professional development and excellence in mediation positions her as a valuable asset to both clients and the wider community.
