Jake Walker

Barrister

About

Jake practices in all areas of family law. Within public and private children proceedings Jake has worked on multi-day fact findings hearings which have included allegations of sexual abuse of children, physical and financial abuse, and controlling and coercive behaviour.

Jake joined Chambers in October 2023 after the successful completion of pupillage under the supervision of Sophie Hill, Victoria Roberts and Richard O’Sullivan.

Experience

Jake has acted on behalf of both parents and children in Public and Private Children law matters and has successfully negotiated settlement in Matrimonial Finance proceedings.

Jake has a particular interest in Public Children proceedings regarding children’s evidence and serious child sexual abuse, having been involved in such cases with Victoria Roberts, led by Mark Twomey KC, during pupillage.

Since gaining tenancy, Jake has acted as a junior within public children law proceedings in multi-week fact finding and welfare hearings concerning extensive allegations of abuse, including sexual abuse perpetrated between siblings.
