About

Louise is a seasoned practitioner with almost 20 years’ experience, having been called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2006 (non-practising), before relocating and being called to the Bar in the Cayman Islands in 2020 (practising), where she is the Head of Family Law for Travers Thorp Alberga, a leading offshore firm based the Cayman Islands and with offices in the BVI, Hong Kong, London, Australia and New Zealand.

Experience

Louise specialises in in all aspects of family law relating to relationship breakdowns. Her practice covers matrimonial and financial remedy proceedings, applications for child arrangement orders, including international relocation and Schedule 1 applications. Louise specialises in complex and high net worth financial remedy cases, including nuptial agreements, multi-jurisdictional asset tracing, trusts and foundation companies, appellate work and work with international elements. Louise has an additional interest in family cases involving autistic children and/or parents, or those with additional needs and has a wealth of experience in cases involving the cross examination of multiple experts.

Louise is an elected board member for the Cayman Islands Family Law Bar Association, an overseas member of the Family Law Bar Association (England and Wales) and a Society of Mediation Accredited Mediator (Society of Mediation UK). She sits as an elected committee member for the Cayman Islands Family Law Bar Association and acts as a supervisor attorney for the Cayman Islands Legal Assistance Clinic. Junior attorneys were regularly placed with Louise for pupillage (England) and/or their articled seats (Cayman Islands).
